If you’re wondering, this is NOT a religious event, although spiritual perspectives are welcome.
We want poetry that builds up, that looks up, that speaks of your journey rather than to how
others live, that creates positive energy, that turns up the light! Poems may be read or recited.
Performance counts. 3 minute limit. Penalty assessed to score if a poem exceeds the 3 minute
limit. 3 rounds total with nine poets in round two, and five poets advancing to the final round.
Host may disqualify a poem if the poet disregards the contest theme.
