Join us for an artful evening of exceptional acoustic jazz, featuring regarded jazz artists Lisa Kelly and JB Scott with their Kelly/Scott Jazztet. Known for her smooth, intimate vocal tone, Lisa’s sophisticated ‘Ella meets Diana Krall’ relaxed song styling is complimented by her lyrical ‘horn-like’ scat improv, expressively at home singing small group to big band. The sassy, soulful trumpet lines of JB Scott, a la Freddy Hubbard, Louis Armstrong, and Clark Terry, reflect years of experience in playing venues of New Orleans, Miami, and beyond, touring with Tommy Dorsey, the Dukes of Dixieland, and other groups. Their collaboration has created a versatile “Classic Swing to New Orleans” repertoire of Great American Songbook standards, traditional favorites, Modern jazz, to award-winning originals, in unique arrangements of swing, sensitive ballads and Bossa Novas, light funk, Samba, Bluesy shuffles, Bebop, New Orleans grooves, and more.

Their stellar rhythm section includes pianist Jeff Phillips, bassist Jay Mueller, and drummer Clyde Connor. Based in Florida, these five artists have notable careers of regional to international performances, from Walt Disney World in Orlando, to jazz clubs, concert venues, jazz societies, and major festivals. The Kelly/Scott Jazztet enjoyed sold-out concerts in 2024 for Treasure Coast Jazz Society, Heidi’s Jazz Club, Reilly’s Art Center, the Amelia Island Club, Chez L’amour jazz club, and other dates.
